Now maybe some of my friends GIRLFRIENDS will get
off my case!
(haha just kidding!)
And, of course, quality musics below, if you so desire. Not much
else going on other than that...a lot of sweating in the hot humid
southern sun, a lot of Magnum P.I. and Arrested Development getting
watched, and talk of possibly adopting a doggy soon, much
to the dismay of Mouse the Cat. More on all that later, hopefully.
"Michael, you
are quite the cupid. You can stick an arrow in my buttocks any time."
Ghostface Killah - Back
Like That (Remix). Who would have guessed 10
years ago that Ghostface would rise light-
years above the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan? My money would have
been on RZA, but Ghostface tapped into a well of
talent within himself that appears to be bottomless.
Bonus: Good.
Bonus: Guns N' Razors.
King Khan & the Shrines - I
Wanna Be A Girl. Not only one of the best records of
the year, but a hoot of a live show
to go with it. Not to be missed if they roll through your
town.
Bonus: Land of the Freak.
Mos Def - Ghetto
Rock. Great song from a truly disappointing album,
"The New Danger".
Pointed Sticks - I'm
Numb. One of the greatest late seventies power
pop bands that most folks haven't heard. And
they're Canadian too! Goddamn those Canadians and their terrific
grasp of songsmithery.
Bonus: Out of Luck.
Richmond Fontaine - 4
Walls. Calexico-like alt-country band that should be a
lot more popular than they are. Some
damn catchy tunes from this lot.
Bonus: Moving Back Home #2.
U.S. Christmas - Gallows
Humor. Friend rock, or friend metal to be more
accurate. But it still rocks, and the fact that
Neurot put their album out should be more than enough proof that it
ain't just me.
Bonus: The Scalphunters.
