***December Twelfth Two Thousand and Six***

Mmmm, pie.

I saw a show earlier in the year that was just fucking super great - The Dead Science and Craig Wedren.
You can read my review over at Playing in Fog if you are so inclined.  I finally got around to uploading some
of the photos I took that night.

Craig Wedren
(backed by The Dead Science)

The Dead Science

In other news...A couple of random pics of my man Drew, who has made more appearances on these pages
than I know.  If you want to see what photographs look like when the person behind the camera knows what
they are doing (unlike here), go check out his website.  The second photo is specifically of his patented move
known as "the sleeping ninja".

Turnbuckle Talk with the American Starship Eagle

With the holiday season wrapped around us like a Vietnamese-scissor hold, I started thinking about what
I was thankful for.   Obviously, I immediately thanked the Lord for his work on the eighth day when he created
the Four Horsemen and for having the foresight to put all of those animals on Noah's boat.  In addition to all
of that biblical stuff, I realized how thankful I am not to be a Von Erich.  Shit man, David, Kerry, Michael and
Chris have all taken the final pinfall – what the hell, Jesus?

Coming Soon! An essay on who would win a no-holds-barred match between the late Eddie Guerrero and
Gandhi?  Gandhi was wiry, but my money is on Eddie pulling some shenanigans...

Briefly, Free Music.

Crimson Sweet - Hello New York.  I wish the whole album by this band would have been as kick ass as this
track, the opener, but you can't win them all.  It's still a decent listen as a whole but this track set a high
bar for the rest of the release to live up to.
Håkan Hellström - Känn Ingen Sorg För Mig Göteborg.
Håkan Hellström - Ramlar.  Cue name drop - I learned about this Swedish popster after a conversation with
one of the dudes from The Shout Out Louds.  My friends The Rosebuds were on tour with them and when
they stopped in SF I chatted up one of them at an afterparty about Swedish music.  This whole album is
fantastic, and kinda hard to get ahold of because it never got released in America.  It's also entirely in
Swedish, but don't let that scare you off.
King Khan & BBQ Show - Too Much In Love.
King Khan & BBQ Show - Why Don't You Lie.  They are the greatest German-Canadian primative rock
duo EVER.  Seriously, just try and come up with a better example...you can't.  Both of these tracks are
from their new album "What's for Dinner?" which kills from beginning to end.
