Outer Banks Weekend, Day Two - June 2012

We spent this day driving around looking at the sights.  Unlike last year, Bodie lighthouse was all dolled up
in the latest scaffolding fashions.

The marshes behind the lighthouse.

We drove down to Cape Hatteras lighthouse as well.  This one was unsheathed.

Despite visiting this lighthouse a few times, this was the first time we were able to climb it.  It was windy as hell.  Chelsea was a little
freaked out and hugged the wall mostly.

The view from above.

What is this?  A center for ants?!?

Old buildings from less high up.

There was a helicopter flying over.  In case you were wondering if we encountered and air traffic on this day.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

A seagull flew over me.  It didn't poop.

Instagram shots from the day...

We tried to go to the beach this morning but it was way too windy, cold and rough.

We sat there for about thirty minutes at the most.

But long enough to see this guy walk by in the best beach outfit ever.

Pelicans.

Another shot of Bodie.

The long, straight highway through the national seashore.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore, again.

Another shot of Cape Hatteras lighthouse as well.

The view from the lighthouse towards the ocean.
