Trip to Washington DC, Part Three -
November
2011

Our final day museuming in the capital. And boy were my legs
tired.

First stop was the Natural History museum. Not a ton to say on
this one - it was a mad house of kids, but a lot of cool stuff to look
at.

I think this Fennec fox was laughing at me.

Seeing the giant dinosaur skeletons in person is kinda awe inspiring
and totally transports me back to being a little kid when there was
nothing in the world cooler than a dinosaur.

The rooms full of animal skeletons was pretty great too. We got
some weird looking creatures on this planet, with skin or without.

A human skull with a bullet through it, from the forensics
exhibit. Probably my favorite part of this particular
museum.

Our final stop was the Native American museum. Great building,
almost as interesting as it's contents. I took some photos of a
few of
the Native American creations that caught my eye...

Arrowheads. I used to find these in gardens around my house as a
kid.

Animal skin drawing.

All of the bead work exhibitions were beyond bad ass.
