Caribbean Cruise, Part One: St. Croix - April
a baby on the way, it was time to jam another trip in before it was too
late. Another cruise to the Caribbean, this time a southern
route leaving out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. First stop: St. Croix of the US Virgin Islands.
spent our day lounging on the beach at a hotel called Sand Castle.

That water. I never get tired of looking at it.
See that farthest spit of land on the left? That is Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge, best known in popular culture as where they filmed
final scene in "The Shawshank Redemption." In the film it is
referred to as Zihuatanejo - what do they take us for, goddamn fools?

Cute beach house right on the water. I'm ready to move there right now.
the to and fro I snapped a few photos of buildings / doors / windows
around town. These things fascinate me but I couldn't tell you

Fort Frederik, located right at the pier where the cruise ship docks. The Caribbean is thick with old forts.
My research tells me this is a Northern Mockingbird who enjoys shitting on cannons.
